The Louise P. Zanar Fund was created in February 2005 to financially support organizations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area that provide disadvantaged children with guidance and instruction in creative expression.
The Fund was established through the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. The Foundation administers the “donor advised” fund by receiving and investing all contributions thus maintaininga tax exempt status.
The Fund’s Executive Committee designates the beneficiaries of the Fund’s donations. The Committee consists of: Louise’s partner, Liz McGrail; her sisters, Sally Coons and Gwen Werman; and her close friends, Molly Daniels, Ashby Sharpe and Rochelle Granat . The committee intends for the Fund to grow and to continue to provide financial support to local organizations indefinitely.
If you would like to make a contribution to the Louise P. Zanar Fund, please make check(s) payable to “The Louise P. Zanar Fund” and send in care of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, 1201 15th Street, NW, Suite 420, Washington, DC 20005.
